Welcome to the Oregon Glass Guild website! Here you’ll find information about us and our activities such as shows, meetings, and classes. We are a non-profit membership organization that unites and informs the multi-disciplined art glass community of Oregon and southwest Washington. Techniques and media used by members include fusing, blowing, casting, painting on and/or with glass, stained glass, acid etching, mosaics, sand carving/sand blasting, coldworking, torchworking, and more. Enjoy browsing our pages to learn more about glass arts, see some of our work, and find upcoming events.

Monthly Meetings

January: A special thanks to Melt Glass, in Vancouver, for hosting OGG for our January meeting, at their great glass shop. We particularly welcomed the group of artists who meet monthly in Vancouver!! The meeting included a demonstration by Murrini Man and we also had a great  “glass discussion” at the end.

February: TORCH DEMO COMPONENTS AND USING SCRAP GLASS:

Where: Carlyne Lynch’s studio

              6890 Molalla Bend Road

Wilsonville, OR 97070 (Also known as Charbonneau.)

When: February 17 at 1PM

Carlyne will demonstrate:

    • Making more lifelike components (leaves, stems, petals and craters)  in your fused glass with a torch
    • Defining shapes and intricate detail to create depth and motion
    • Using scrap glass to make mixed colored cane
    • Tools, the parts of the flame, and tricks
  • She will also raffle off a set of torch tweezers and a couple of custom canes.
  • Bring your own chairs and dress warmly, studio can be cold and flame does not like heaters!!!

We would also like “you all” to bring in your own glass pieces (and/or photographs) to participate in a “glass discussion” and  critiques (successes, failures, questions-how would you do this?).

Note: DO NOT block driveways, excess parking in cul-de-sac.

2019 Gathering of the Guilds
