Artist Statement:
What is it like to wait 57 years to find your creative
self? It's an explosion.......a bursting forth....... seeing
for the first time what I have looked at all my life.....it's
divine intervention......and it's WILDWOMAN CREATIONS.
What is my inspiration?
I do not have a clue. I draw from inside me, an accumulation
of thumbnails from 57 years of living......You know....the
GOOD, the bad, the ugly all intertwined with my deep love
and appreciation of this earth and the good people in it.
I am very thankful that I can afford the freedom of pure
expression. I have this burning desire to be different,
shunning the mainstream, and feeding what is inside me.
Each creation is a part of me and I let go of it very reluctantly
and only to someone that it speaks to. My art, in whatever
form I choose to express it, is an extension of me and
is enhanced by whatever talks to me at the moment. My work
can encompass anything from plastic to diamonds to found
objects on the ground but all of these are components and
do not stand alone. The final piece from the components
is a WILDWOMAN CREATION.
My
work lives in a world where "normal is not an option".
My work screams "Look at Me". Rave reviews including
the most famous one from the "Innocent New York Bystander",
states....."WILDWOMAN CREATIONS is a breath of fresh
air across the plains of sameness". WILDWOMAN CREATIONS
adorn the imagination.......they walk on the wild side where
the path is never straight and how boring if it was.....I
love asymmetry, bold, mixing colors and textures.....always
to evoke a response. My work is not for the faint of heart......my
work is a conversation piece.......My work is ME.
